Giordano Bruno statue and advertisement in Campo Dei Fiori, Rome, Italy. The advertisement saying "for all those that always have their feet on the ground." is ironic as Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake by the Roman Inquisition for declaring the universe is infinite. His contemporary Galileo was tortured into submission into renouncing his scientific discoveries that the Earth revolved around the Sun and living the rest of his life under house arrest.
